There is tons of evidence that one significant way for a student to develop math anxiety is during homework time when parents try to help with homework. If you are going to assign math homework, please make sure your students' parents are fully supported at home, too! Encourage parents to watch the video for the lesson. Even better...encourage parents to watch the video WITH their child. Encourage them to discuss the video, rathe than argue with each other. By doing so, we can reduce the risk of math anxiety being transmitted from parent to child.
Since teachers want training before teaching #eurekamath, shouldn’t we also support parents? Send them to https://t.co/rR4VY3rXbM

Or...better yet...don't assign math homework. There is plenty of evidence that suggests it does not actually improve student achievement anyway!
